Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company and Fresenius Kabi Vietnam Joint Stock
Company were producing stably, meeting the growth targets because of
extending the registration for circulation of drugs, so they received many orders
right from the beginning of the year, motivating pharmaceutical enterprises to
speed up production in all lines to serve market needs.
+ Production of leather and related products decreased by 12.14%
because Binh Dinh Shoes Joint Stock Company received few orders and only
produced moderately. Since the end of the second quarter of 2023, Binh Dinh
Shoes Joint Stock Company was gradually running out of orders and narrowing
production. The trend in the fourth quarter of 2023 was to have orders again,
but not many.
+ Production of prefabricated metal products decreased by 5.29%, mainly
due to a decrease in metal roofing products by 26.91% (Hoa Sen - Nhon Hoi
One Member Limited Liability Company cut production, only producing for
domestic consumption, no export and waiting for comments on balancing
production targets from Hoa Sen Group). Because frozen real estate impacted
the construction sector, significantly affecting steel demand in 2023. Although
public investment disbursement was expected to accelerate in the fourth quarter
of 2023, it was reported that total domestic steel demand has not reached the
expected level.
+ Production of beds, wardrobes, tables and chairs decreased by 9.23%.
This industry's deep decline affected a number of supporting industries, greatly
impacting the production index of the entire industry. Because this group
accounted for the second highest proportion of the manufacturing.
- Production index of electricity production and distribution decreased by
0.45%. Of which, electricity production felt by 4.22%; Commercial electricity
increased by 6.14% over the same period.
- Production index of water supply, sewarege, wastewater management
and remediation activities increased by 15.96%. Of which, water collection,
treatment and supply rosed by 8.1%; Waste collection, treatment and disposal
activities increased by 26.8% due to the Provincial People's Committee adding
funding to increase the frequency and expand the scope of collection in the
province.
