IN 2023
1. Industry
In 2023, the Provincial People's Committee focused on directing and
assigning socio-economic development targets throughout from the provincial
level to the district level and orientation to the commune level; Organize
implementation of tasks and solutions seriously, timely and effectively to
promote socio-economic development, remove difficulties for enterprises and
their production and business activities, etc. Organize a Dialogue conference
with enterprises, investment promotion conferences, conferences and working
sessions to grasp the production and business situation and promptly remove
difficulties and obstacles for enterprises to maintain and gradually develop
production and business; create the most favorable conditions for enterprises to
promote trade, seek markets, and expand exports. Focus on administrative
reform, improving the business investment environment, creating favorable
conditions to shorten and simplify investment procedures so that enterprises and
investors can quickly deploy works and projects.
In the context of the world economy continuing to face many difficulties,
with synchronous measures deployed by the Central and provincial
governments, industrial production activities in 2023 still maintained growth.
The entire industrial production index in 2023 increased by 3.31% over the

same period (the lowest increase in the period 2019-2023).
- Production index of mining and quarrying increased by 19.92%. Of
which, mining of metal ores went up 2.59%; Other mining activities rose by
22.67%, mainly increase in rock and soil exploitation to serve the construction
of the North-South highway.
- Production index of manufacturing increased by 3.29%. In the context
of many difficulties from the global economic downturn, especially from the
first months of 2023 affected the results of industrial production, but in the last
