months of the year, new orders and output of manufacturing increased again,
enterprises accelerated production to meet the needs of the domestic and export
markets.

Production in some major sectors of the province:

+ The food processing increased by 6.7% due to an increase in some
domestic consumption products such as: Animal husbandry increased by
6.77%. Milk and uncondensed cream products rosed by 41.15%, thanks to
investing additional condensed milk production line by enterprises.

However, the group of frozen seafood products decreased sharply by
16.35%. In 2023, the fishery industry continued to face difficulties due to
reduced purchasing power in the European market, while the Asian market had
low consumption and IUU yellow card barriers. Exporting frozen shrimp
continued to be a big challenge for enterprises because the price of Vietnamese
shrimp raw materials was 2 times higher than Ecuadorian shrimp and about
30% higher than that of India, making Vietnamese shrimp in general, and in
Binh Dinh province particular difficult to compete with competitors, while the
market was slow to recover, causing many difficulties for shrimp processing
enterprises.

+ Beverage production decreased by 0.34% over the same period. Of
which, bottled beer output reduced by 0.36%.

+ Manufacture of apparel increased by 14.78%. Of which, ready-made
clothes increased by 20% thanks to expanding factory capacity of Delta Galil
Company. In the last months of 2023, favorable exports and increased orders
have pushed the apparel industry's production index to increase quite well.

+ Wood processing and wood products increased by 11.96%. After a long
period of time, this industry encountered difficulties due to lack of orders and a
decline in the consumer market; However, from mid-2023, new orders were
introduced, enterprises focused on purchasing raw wood to serve production
again. The high increase in the production index of this industry contributed
greatly to the growth rate of the province's industrial production index.

+ Production of drugs, pharmaceutical chemicals and medicinal materials
increased by 18.36%. In particular, serum protein solution increased by
18.49%. Binh Dinh's two major pharmaceutical enterprises namely Binh Dinh
