Provincial People’s Committee, the departments, branches and People's
Committees of districts, towns and cities were promptly directed to monitor
market price developments, synthesize and analyze; to advise on price
management and administration measures; to strengthen inspection and
supervision of implementation of price declaration and listing; dissemination of
price information, strictly handling cases of hoarding and increasing
unreasonable price; to promptly handle violations and unreasonable price
increase in the context of fluctuating market conditions. In general, the average
price index of consumer goods and services in 2023 showed positive
developments with an increase of less than 4%, ensuring the curb of inflation
target set by the Province. The above results were achieved thanks to the
Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee's drastic and in-
           depth direction and management.

The average consumer price index (CPI) in 2023 increased by 2.19%

down 14.8% compared to the same period; The average capital per an enterprise
reached 7.9 billion VND, down 8.7% over the same period. The number of
enterprises back to the market was 350, down 3.3% over the same period.

In addition, many enterprises face difficulties in the consumer market,
high input material costs, uncertain financial resources, and fierce competition
from domestic and foreign goods, forcing many enterprises to narrow
production scale, temporarily suspend operations or dissolve. In 2023, 630
enterprises in the province had to temporarily suspend operations, an increase
of 18.6%; 90 enterprises dissolved, up 8.4% over the same period
