TRADE AND TOURISM
IN 2023

In 2023, in spite of facing many difficulties and challenges, with the efforts
of all levels, sectors, business communities and the people, the provincial socio-
economic situation in 2023 continued growth momentum and comprehensive
development in most fields. Trade, service, and transportation activities in the
province in 2023 achieved good growth, supply and demand of essential goods
were be guaranteed, and domestic consumption was promoted. The province's

tourism was still growing well, with many exciting cultural and sports events. The
programs of accommodation establishment were organized on accasion of
vacations, holidays, and Tet, contributing to increasing its attractiveness for
tourists from inside and outside the province to come, enjoy and experience with
relaxation. The agriculture, forestry and fishery sector maintained its stable
growth, ensuring the supply of food, essential goods and people's lives in the
province were basically stable.

Total retail sales of goods and service revenue in 2023 was estimated to
reach 103,140 billion VND, a year-on-year increase of 15.1%. In term of

economic activities, retail sales of goods reached 81,167 billion VND, accounting
for 78.7% of total retail sales and increasing by 10.7% compared to 2022;
accommodation and catering services reached 13,317 billion VND, accounting for
12.9% of total retail sales and increasing by 32.7%; tourism and services reached
8,656 billion VND, accounting for 8.4% and increasing by 39.3%.

As of December 31, 2023, the whole province had 184 ranked markets; 8
supermarkets; 4 commercial centers, the same as in 2022.

In 2023, the Provincial People's Committee organized many programs and
festivals to promote the image of tourism, homeland, and people of Binh Dinh to
domestic and international tourists and communities, such as: Binh Dinh Tourism
Festival 2023 with the theme: “Quy Nhon - Sea paradise - Brilliant colors”; Hot
Air Balloon Festival; Miss World 2023; Binh Dinh martial arena at night; The 8th
Vietnamese Traditional Martial Arts Festival - Binh Dinh in 2023; VnExpress
