ENTERPRISES, COOPERATIVES IN 2022
AND NON-FARM INDIVIDUAL BUSINESS ESTABLISHMENTS
IN 2023

As of December 31, 2022, the active enterprises were 6,877 enterprises, a
year-on-year increase of 9.1%. Of which, there were 22 state-owned
enterprises, a rise of 15.8%; 6,802 non-state enterprises, a rise of 9.1%; 53 FDI

enterprises, an increase of 6% over that in the same period.
As of December 31, 2022 there were 145,153 employees working in the

enterprise sector, up 1.3%, of which 4,234 employees worked in state-owned
enterprises, down 2.8%; 132,886 employees were in non-state enterprise sector,
a growth of 1.2%; 8,033 employees worked in FDI enterprise sector, an
increase of 5.6%. On average, there were 21 employees per an enterprise, equal
to the figure of the same period.
The average production and business capital of the enterprise sector in

2022 achieved 224,725 billion VND, a year-on-year growth of 6.1%. Of
which, the state-owned enterprises capital reached 9,321 billion VND, up
22.8%; the non-state enterprise capital reached 201,999 billion VND, up
4.7%; the FDI enterprise capital reached 13,405 billion VND, up 19%. The
average capital per enterprise reached 32.7 billion VND, a decline of 2.7%
over that in the same period.

In 2022, the net turnover of production and business of enterprise sector
reached 192,565 billion VND, a year-on-year rise of 27.1%, of which the state-
owned enterprises gained 11,106 billion VND, a growth of 15.9%; the non-state
enterprises reached 170,268 billion VND, an expansion of 27.8%; the FDI
enterprises achieved 11,191 billion VND, a rise of 28.9%. The average turnover
of the enterprises reached 28 billion VND, a year-on-year rise of 16.5%.

In 2022, the profit before tax of enterprises lost 14,243.5 billion VND, a
year-on-year decrease of 16,017,447 million VND compared to that of 2021. Of
which, the state-owned enterprises get profit 364 billion VND, down 14,858
million VND; the non-state enterprises lost 14,948.4 billion VND, down
